Temple Trip and Bowling!

Today we went to an ADA (American Diabetes Association) activity in North Salt Lake. It was family bowling night. We had a blast! The boys loved it! We then went to the Bountiful Temple and took pictures. A few days ago Landon asked me if we could go to the temple where Dirk and I were married so we decided to go while we were in the area. The boys had a great night of fun!

We Did It!

WE did it! Dirk and I both biked a marathon length of 26.2 miles on our bikes! Dirk used his new bike down the street at our little walking path. Luckily there weren't any walkers out, it was waaaay too windy for anyone to be out. But Dirk still did it and then some. He had to ride home after he finished the 26.2 miles. Then I did the same thing on my recumbent bike at home. On Wednesday, while watching Biggest Loser, I rode 13.1 miles, half a marathon in 1 hour and 5 minutes. So my goal was atleast to make the 26.2 miles in 2 hours and 10 minutes. I was close, but it took me 2 hours and 11 minutes. Boy was I tired! But it felt good to have accomplished that all at one time. Part of my goal was to do it without stopping, and I was able to do that. I might try again next week for a better time. This time I just wanted to do the whole thing without stopping, not too worried about my time. We got the idea from watching Biggest Loser, because they had a challenge where everyone had to bike a marathon to see who finished first. The soonest time was an hour and 17 min.s. I want to see if I can work up to that. Who knows how long that will take me. It is just fun having those kind of goals and then at least getting close to reaching them if not better. I posted a picture of Dirks bike and mine. He biked his marathon in 2 hours and 18 min.s but he had a ton of resistance with how windy it was yesterday. Not too mention my bike has no resistance what so ever and I was inside. Maybe when it gets nicer and I get my bike out of my parents shed and back here at home, we will do it together! I also posted pictures of the boys doing their chores. I have recently started having the boys do chores and it is fun to watch them. Enjoy!
Dirk's bike he got on KSL.
My recumbent bike I got on KSL for FREEEEEE! I got it last year. I love the comfort of the pillows. Although they didn't keep my bum from going numb!
Landon and Kyle share morning chores; I must say they look adorable!

Kyle doing morning chores; doesn't he look sooo cute!
